Unlocking hope!

It’s no secret. He says to shout it from the rooftops!. The Key of David has triumphed in opening the way back to Eden and fellowship with Himself. His blood is enough!

In the story of Pandora’s Box, Pandora opened a box which unleashed a flood of evil upon the world. This single act of disobedience brought chaos and confusion into her world. When she finally managed to shut the box, she closed the lid in time to catch ‘hope’ before it slipped away from her forever.
Adam and Eve disobeyed the Lord’s command not to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. How the devil tempted them with the forbidden fruit. It would open their eyes. They would become powerful. Spiritual masters, even. ‘As God’, he said. But this fruit brought only death and separation from their First Love. They had walked with Him in the garden. They had been created for this purpose. To know Him. To be in a deep love relationship with Him.
Desiring power and fame and influence over love, they had listened to the tempter and they had fallen.
They had forsaken their own hearts, their Creator and Best Friend, for a ‘floating trophy’, which would ultimately end in death.
As with Pandora, their single act of disobedience unleashed a flood of evil into the world. Unlike Pandora, they could not catch ‘hope’ in their own efforts and were unable to restore the perfect Eden. But then Hope stepped in in the form of a Saviour.

In the story, the Lord doesn’t just lead them back to the Tree of Life. He becomes the Tree of Life. Those who eat from Him – His body, His blood – will not perish.
The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil brings death but the Tree of Life brings life. He is Life. Life is to Him what wetness is to water. Jesus of Nazareth. The Way, the Truth and the Life.

I recently read a testimony by well-known singer Lady Gaga. She spoke of how she had met a man at a club before her career skyrocketed. He promised her if she joined his spiritual group, she could become famous – she could become anything, he said. A great singer. She could become beautiful and popular. She signed on the dotted line not realising what she was signing herself over to. Yes, she became all of that – but it was a ‘floating trophy’. She hadn’t anticipated how the story would end.
The merit of anything must be tested by time. Today she is fighting physical sickness and tells her story to warn others. She speaks of how she gave herself over, not realising this fruit, however sweet it initially tasted, would result in death.

For those who don’t have hope or have sought validation and worth from places of sin and death, you must know there is someone who loves you and gave everything for you, to restore His dream, which is for you to walk with Him in Eden. When satan tried to steal His dream, He gave everything to restore Eden for those who will accept Him and turn from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil to eat from the Tree of Life.

The story of His love for you far surpasses any Babylonian myth, like Pandora’s Box. Pandora, in her own efforts, captured hope before it fled. Man and woman cannot restore this perfect place of fellowship with Him in their own efforts but the Lord has done it by His own zeal, He Himself becoming Hope for you, as the Lamb of God. He stepped into His own creation to undo the works of the devil, as scripture says.
It is done! It is finished!
Jesus died for every single person and wants to restore this relationship with every person.

Maybe you feel like Judas and you feel like you have sold the Lord for stuff, money, a title, a promotion, fame, ‘power’, popularity, status in your family or community, but Jesus wants you to know He loves you and has paid for you. You might have signed on another dotted line, but Jesus signed with His blood that you are His and this perfect sacrifice is stronger than anything you could have done wrong.
There is an antidote to any sin and any fruit the devil might have tempted you with.
Eat from Him. His Word. The Bread of Life. Accept His blood. It’s enough.
The perfect sacrifice of the son of God, and His blood has paid for you in full. When you enter Covenant with Him, this is more powerful than any agreement with the kingdom of darkness.

My friend told me of a vision the Holy Spirit had given her to ‘sear’ in her mind the power of His Covenant with His people. In this, He showed her a road and it stretched into the distance, into forever. Through the centre of the road ran a wall which couldnt be destroyed or climbed over. It ran through the centre of the road and it never ended. On one side of the wall was an arid place of death. Things were decaying and even the sweet things, those things which were attractive, were in the process of dying. However, on the other side of the wall was a place of abundant life, where there was fresh water, and large trees with shade and rest.
You could not cross from one side to the other by your own will, only by Him and His blood. This covenant with Him took people from a place of death to life and this new life in this garden continued forever and ever. The devil had no power to take people out of the garden or to replant them in his kingdom. Once they accepted Jesus as Saviour this was enough to ‘plant’ them in His Kingdom forever.
There in the shade of the Tree of Life you will remain as His Beloved. Jesus said it Himself: “It is finished!”

“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.” (Rev 22:1-2)

“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
“Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.” (Rev 22:13-15)
